The CCPD offers a variety of workshops designed to support students in their career development. Please view the descriptions of each workshop below. If you don’t see a workshop that addresses what you were looking for, choose “other” and CCPD staff will work with you to create a workshop that meets your needs. Developing Application Materials: Resumes & Cover Letters: Learn how to make your resumes and cover letters stand out to employers. This workshop is great for those who are creating their first resume and cover letter or for those who just want review theirs. All about LinkedIn: From creating a strong profile to using LinkedIn to network, this workshop will cover all things LinkedIn. Mastering the Interview: This workshop will cover important information on how to prepare for the interview, tips for answering interview questions, and how to be confident in your interviewing skills. Graduate School 101: Thinking about graduate school? This workshop walks students though the basics of choosing a grad school and the application process. Job & Internship Searching: Learn how to conduct a successful job search for internships and full time positions. Reviewing Offers & Salary Negotiation: Assessing offers and deciding what and how to negotiate can be tricky. This workshop will inform you how assess offers and approach negotiations. Career Exploration: This workshop will provide tips & resources you can utilize to help you explore and determine career paths.
Date & Time The CCPD will be able to offer workshops during extended hours and weekends to accommodate students. However, since there is no guarantee the CCPD will be able to accommodate the preferred presentation date and time, their staff will work with your group to find a date and time that works for all participants.
Location
Workshops can be conducted virtually through Webex or in person. If you choose virtual, please provide the CCPD staff member with the link you will be using for the presentation. If you choose in person, you are responsible for reserving the space and communicating that information with CCPD staff.
