Quantum computing has the potential to revolutionize various industries, but the field is currently hindered by a shortage of skilled practitioners. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) became the first university to install an IBM Quantum System One on its campus in early 2024, providing students and faculty with a powerful tool for research and learning. This development underscores the need for a concerted effort to start addressing the shortage of skilled quantum practitioners and to train a workforce capable of harnessing the full potential of quantum computing in the Hudson Valley, New York.
Join us for this thought-provoking discussion about quantum computing, including what we have learned so far and the challenges and opportunities to come.
