Event Details: The event on Friday September 12 is free to applicants who have registered and receive confirmation
that their application is accepted. It’s encouraged that you stay for the full day. In addition, you can
book a hotel for the evening before and/or the evening of the Symposium.

Poster Presentation - Title and Abstract
Abstract

The abstract should provide a brief but comprehensive summary of the contents of your poster presentation. Limit your abstract to 250 words. One-inch margins on all sides. Use Times New Roman 12-point font throughout.  

Format your Abstract as follows:

  1. TITLE: Use Bold Font, Times New Roman 12-point. The title should be concise, informative and
    descriptive.
  2. AUTHOR FULL NAMES: Under the title provide full names of Authors underlining the presenting
    author. Author names should NOT be italicized or shown in Bold. It's common to list the presenting
    author first, followed by other authors based on their contributions, with the research advisor or mentor
    listed last.
  3. AFFILIATIONS: Under the authors provide their affiliations in italics Times New Roman 12-point
    font. Multiple affiliations can be listed and use a letter to ensure that it is clear which affiliation
    corresponds to each author. The affiliation should include the name of the institution, the department or
    center, address, city and zip code.
  4. BODY: Should consist of the research topic, experimental process, key findings, and major
    conclusions. Total of 250 words. The font should be Regular Times New Roman 12-point.
  5. KEYWORDS: Under the Abstract Text, provide a separate section entitled Keywords. These should
    be descriptive and capture the most important aspects of your paper. They will be useful to attendees
    who are viewing posters. Include three to five words, phrases, or acronyms as keywords. These can be
    in regular Times New Roman 12-point font.
  6. OPTIONAL FIGURE: Under KEYWORDS you can provide a Graphic. The graphic should visually summarize the main points of a research paper. It should be concise and informative.
